My New Best Friend

I have recently made a new best friend and I'd like to introduce you. 

Everyone, this is Zinsser Oil Based Primer. 

If you haven't already met, you need to get to know each other. 

Not only does it stick to ANY surface, including laminate, glossy and otherwise hopelessly ugly, but it dries in less than 30 minutes. ( I find it to be like 10-15 but I think the label says 30).

Ladies and gent's, this wonderful primer has had my back ever since I've purchased it and I have tested it out on a few of my recent projects. Definitely a holy grail item. 

So there you have it.

While obsessively checking Craigslist, I found these wooden (not laminate) bookshelves for pennies on the dollar. 

They need some loving but I am super excited to revamp these babies.
